How it all started

Since 2011, cricket has been quietly flourishing in Erlangen, Germany, largely unnoticed by most locals. However, there is a rapidly growing cricket scene, particularly in Munich, boasting over 11 registered cricket teams. The Bavarian cricket league, where the competition thrives, is known for its intense matchups.

Our story

The Erlangen Cricket Club, established with one team and around 22 members, has become a focal point for cricket enthusiasts. Our cricket ground meets all necessary requirements, with boundaries adjustable between 55 and 70 yards. Playing on an artificial turf green pitch aligns with the standards set by BCV, DCB, and ICC.

Our journey began in 2010 when the first players signed up. As a truly multinational club, we proudly embrace diversity with players hailing from India, Pakistan, England, Australia, and Sri Lanka. Facilitating effective communication, our cricket coach is proficient in English, German, and Urdu/Hindi.
